Step 1
Step 1
Cut a piece of copper wire using cutting pliers (the exact length of the piece of copper wire depends on the size of the flower you want to create). In order to create a flower of 3,5cm, you will need a piece of copper wire of about 45cm.
Step 2
Step 2
String several seed beads on the wire (in the photo, we have used 13 seed beads per loop).
Step 3
Step 3
Make a loop with the wire and twist it. The seed beads are now 'stuck' in the loop. Make sure you have about 3cm wire left at the end of the wire. You will need it at step 10.
Step 4
Step 4
String about the same amount of seed beads on the wire. Make a loop with the wire and twist it. Keep repeating this step until you have created a flower.
Step 5
Step 5
String 1 seed bead or a very small bead (in a different colour than the seed beads of the petals of the flower) on the copper wire and place the bead in the middle of a petal. Now bend the wire in the direction of the flower.
Step 6
Step 6
Twist the wire using flat nose pliers until the small bead is on a small stem in the middle of a petal.
Step 7
Step 7
Repeat steps 5 and 6 for every petal of the flower.
Step 8
Step 8
String a slightly larger bead on the wire and pull the wire downwards on the other side of the flower.
Step 9
Step 9
Twist the large bead in the middle of the flower until it is securely fastened.
Step 10
Step 10
Make sure there is about 3cm wire at both ends left (if you have much wire left at one or both ends of the wire, you can cut the redundant wire using cutting pliers). You can now use both ends of the wire to fix the flower to, for example, a ring or a link of a chain.
